Aspen Care's COVID-19 Update

We want to update you on the recent outbreak concerning the COVID-19 virus, and our plans at Aspen Care Health. At this time, the risk in Alberta is low in relation to the rest of the world. Seeing as this is a worldwide pandemic, and our clients are highly susceptible, we are taking these circumstances extremely seriously and have new precautionary measures in effect.

FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OF OUR CLIENTS AND STAFF:

  • Staff who are returning from any International travel are asked to stay away from working with Aspen Care for 14 days upon arrival

  • Staff who have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to stay home for 14 days after their last encounter

WHAT ASPEN CARE IS DOING:

  • Increased frequency of cleaning with medical grade disinfectant in high touch areas (door handles, railings, light switches, etc.)

  • Limiting clients physical contact with others

  • Taking extra precautions to avoid exposure for our clients, i.e. avoiding unnecessary outtings

  • Frequent sanitization of all equipment

  • Hand washing periodically for both clients and staff

  • Staff are asked to stay home if they feel ill

WHAT CAN YOU DO:

  • Frequent hand washing, hand sanitizing and covering your mouth when coughing/sneezing

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

  • Older adults and people who have chronic medical conditions should take the necessary precautions to avoid exposure to others
